What Should I Do With A Broken iPhone 7 Screen ?

My iPhone is old and broken but I can’t afford a new one, what should I do? It’s just not fair, the new iPhone are really cool but really expensive. I broken iPhone 7 screen and I know I can fix it but the temptation to buy a new one is hard to overcome. What I should do is get an estimate on how much mine will cost to fix or replace.

How Much Cost To Fix A Broken iPhone 7 Screen?

The cost to fix iPhone these days has become really affordable. My iPhone 7 has a cracked screen and the battery doesn’t last too long. I called Apple to get a quote for iPhone 7 screen repair and was told $149, they were the most expensive by far. True, they use original parts but is it worth it? I got a quote from a third party repair store near me and they were less than half the price. I thought this was crazy but the tech explained it to me this way.

Broken iPhone 7 Screen Repair Apple vs Third Party

First, Apple is not in the business of repairing phones, instead they want to sell you one. They will find every excuse not to fix your phone. If there is any sign of water damage they won’t touch it. Second, the rate they charge to fix your device is close to the cost to buy a used one. They offer them for sale as refurbished but they aren’t cheap.

Where To Repair iPhone 7 Screen?

After shopping around I decided to get my broken iPhone 7 screen fixed at a third party repair facility. My iPhone 7 needed a new screen and a new battery. The total costs less than a fifth of the price of a new iPhone 10. Even with the new iPhone 11’s due in September it was a no brainier. The new operating system will still work with the iPhone 7 so I’ll be able to keep all my apps. The tech said if I had the 6 series it would have made more sense to upgrade to a 7 or an 8. The new operating system will only work on an iPhone 7 or newer.

Who else is getting frustrated by how fragile the new iPhone XR back glass are?

So my new iPhone XR is made of glass and it looks great! I got the blue one and everyone tells me it looks great. But after one week I broke my iPhone XR back glass already and it wasn’t dropped. I keep my phone in my purse and after shopping for groceries one day it had a crack in it. I couldn’t believe it, I was so upset. I spent close to eight hundred dollars and now the phone is worth half that.

The iPhone XR Back Glass Is Fragile and an Expensive

I took the phone to the Apple store and was shocked when they told me the price to fix the back glass. The representative asked why I didn’t get the apple care. Because I’m not made out of money and I take great care of my phones. My last phone was an iPhone 7 and I never dropped it and never broke it. I complained to the store and said the phone was so fragile, maybe the back glass was defective. Of course they weren’t buying it but still, the iPhone XR back glass is really fragile. And I wasn’t the only one. There were several other people there whole also had broken back glass.

Keep your colorful iPhone X's back glass safe

My husband, who uses android keeps his phone in a big bulky case. He said it was my own fault. But I told him the whole reason I bought the iPhone XR was because of the colors. I mean why apple would make such a beautiful phone that needs to be covered by a case is crazy. The only reason my husband uses a case is because he is prone to dropping his phone. I never drop my phone.
Now I keep a tempered glass on the front and back of my iPhone XR, to protect it. The back glass is there to allow the wireless charging, not just for looks. It’s a shame how fragile it is though. I understand that this is the new design going forward so I just have to get used to it.

I spilled water on my Computer and it won’t turn on, now what? I

If you never spilled anything on your Computer than start doing this.  Don’t keep any liquid that can spill over next to your  Computer, it’s that simple.  Unfortunately this is easier said than done.  We all try to be careful but accidents do happen but there are some things you can do to reduce the risk.
Using an anti-spill cup would be a good start.  If you don’t have one or don’t want to use one than do this.  Keep your drink on a lower level than your  Computer.  For example, if you’re at your desk keep the drink on the floor or on a chair next to the desk.  Also bring yourself to your drink not your drink to you.  Even if you try to keep it dry there is always the possibility of an accident.  If you have a spill and the  Computer doesn’t turn on than do this.
The first thing you should do if you spill liquid on the  Computer is to turn it off, remove the battery and unplug it.  If the spill occurred over the key board than turn it over.  If you can put a fan next to it do it right away.  The liquid inside the  Computer needs to dry completely before you turn it on again.  The safer way is to have an experienced technician open the device and check it out.  If you can’t remove the battery yourself than this is probably your best option.
Depending on the  Computer the logic board may be located directly under the keyboard.  If the  Computer doesn’t turn on after the spill than there is probably a short circuit on the logic board.  Some  Computer have a battery or a barrier under the keyboard, this can help block the liquid from reaching the logic board.
Besides the logic board getting damaged the liquid can also damage other hardware.  The keyboard, battery, power supply can short out and stop working.  If the disk gets damaged than there is a strong possibility of data loss.  If the logic board has a short than it will need to be examined under a microscope.  With any luck the short can be located and any burnt out capacitors or ic chips can be replaced.
It’s up to you when it comes to drinking anything when using your  Computer.  If you don’t keep a backup of important data than your taking a big risk.  Taking the proper precautions will greater reduce your risk.  If an accident happens than there is a chance it can be repaired
